What Are Standard Netball Court Dimensions

Netball Court Size

A standard netball court is 30.5 metres long and 15.25 metres wide. The court is then divided into equal thirds which measure 10.176 metres by 15.25 metres. The centre third is where the centre circle is located, while the two thirds which bookend the court are where the goals are located. The lines that run along the netball court length are called the sidelines and the shorter sides are referred to as the goal lines. These goal lines, or base lines, are where the ring stands. A netball ring is 3.05 metres above the ground.

By comparison, a basketball court is 15 metres by 28 metres—this means you can have a playing surface for both sports in one. Plus, the standard height of a basketball ring is 3.04 metres above the ground, that’s just 10mm difference. Half Court

If you have less space to work with, our half court basketball set up may be your best bet. Typical half-courts measure 7 metres by 10 metres while a smaller set up is typically 5 metres by 9 metres. The semi-circle that encompasses a netball goal needs to have a radius of 4.9m from the goal line, while a basketball free-throw line is 5.8 metres from the baseline. This means that you could fit in line markings for both basketball and netball in a medium court.
